Passport Information

To enter Costa Rica, it’s not enough simply to have a valid passport. Your passport has to be good for at least 30 days after you arrive. If your passport expires in less than 30 days, you won’t get into the country.

**PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL TO COSTA RICA! PASSPORT APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY BEING PROCESSED WITHIN 4-6 WEEKS OF SUBMITTING.  ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BEGIN THIS PROCESS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH AN APPLICATION DEADLINE OF OCTOBER 1st TO ENSURE ON TIME DELIVERY.  FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE VISIT http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html.

AGS goes international! Sophomore students will participate in various multidisciplinary learning activities that will engage them in a global context and provide them with a context for their place in the world.  These experiences will also help students understand the various needs of the world and experience life from the perspective of different cultures.

EARTH University will be the home base and coordinator for students while in Costa Rica.  Students will have the opportunity to tour the Doka Coffee Estate plantation and production facility as well as have an opportunity to work in the fields alongside Nicaraguan immigrants. While in Costa Rica, students will also be engaging in service learning with the Bri-Bri, an indigenous people to Costa Rica.

No vaccinations are required for Costa Rica. Here is some information about vaccinations from the CDC.
